I Love You...and Chie Mihara's

Polka Peppered Dress - by Maeve - Anthro Orig $148 Sale $80 - May 2010
Tosmo in RED - by Chie Mihara - Far Fetch $329 - 041611

Today someone asked me if I liked you.  I laughed, and I said, "Ha! That's funny!!  I freakin' LOVE that chick!!  She's funny, caring, crazy as heck, sweet, beautiful, and she's reading this blog right now and; I love her!!"

I received this awesome "I Love You" from my friend today.  If your reading, Thank you Kelli.
Every year I allow myself one pair of Chie Miharas.  On sale of course.
The year was 2008. It was the first time I had ever seen a pair of Chie Mihara's at Anthro and on Heidi. I lusted for Antho's Savoy Slingbacks by Chie Mihara.  When Anthro finally put them on sale, they were still too expensive for me to afford.  Months later, I found mine at Nordstrom online for 70% off.  The last pair of size 38's for $103  They didn't even come in their original box.  I didn't care.
Anthro's Savoy Slingbacks or Patchwork Sandal - by Chie Mihara - Nordstrom Orig $345 Sale $103 - Dec 2008
In 2009 I lusted for Anthro's Needlework T-Straps by Chie Mihara.  When Anthro put them on sale at 50% off, I didn't bat so much as an eye lash over the price.

The year was 2010. I didn't even see these until they hit sale in early January.  That's right, Anthro put this pair of sandals on sale in the dead of Winter. It happened so fast Heidi has been kicking herself ever since.  I think this color was an Anthro Exclusive.  I searched for Heidi, and was only able to find them in Taupe Suede. Which doesn't come close to Anthro's Pearl. BTW, instead of the leather wrapped heal that Anthro described, these arrived with a versatile stacked wood heel.

It was late 2010 when these showed up in an Anthro Catalog. I would make these mine the minute they hit sale.  I must have been asleep at the wheel or something.  But that's OK! All the reviews said they ran very narrow up front.  My foot is narrow everywhere, but the front.

I'm over them...

It was instant love when I found the Tosmos at Chie Mihara's Online Store.  The only size available was UK 41.  I was heart broken for a minutes.  Wait!  Google to the rescue. The best price was $358 out the door from farfetch.com.  And DHL didn't even charge me a VAT fee or a surcharge for importing them.  They arrived last night from a little boutique in Sienna, Italy in 4 days.  They are perfect in every way.

My Red Suede Shoe Crave is now fulfilled.

I'm in a Well Review most of the day today.  I have to prepare.  I had more to say, but I'm running behind Ladies.

Do you love Chie Mihara's?  Do you love Red Suede Shoes?  Tell me about them.

Yay! They worked out :D Oh they are very lovely Laura, and that is great that you did not get charged anything extra. I love Chie Mihara's, but only from afar. Too expensive up north for them, and they don't go on sale low enough for me lol. I will have a pair one day though, oh yes I will. I don't actually own any red shoes. I do have a pair of orange suede runners though :)

I have Purple and Rasberry, but this is my first pair of red shoes.

YES, I love Chie Mihara and YES, I love red suede shoes!!!! Congrats on the new shoes! I have considered ordering directily from the chie mihara website, but I assumed that shipping/fees would be outrageous. I will have to check out farfetch.com. Thanks for the tip. I have 3 pairs of Chie's - 1 was purchased from ebay and the other 2 from pedshoes.com (GREAT company btw and they have a decent selection of chie's). You look gorgeous today!

Yes I often check Pedshoes for Chie and Coclicos. You can find Chie's at Coclicos.com too. They are from the same European Shoe Consortium. Plus Rachel Comey, Argilas and Chan Luu.

Congrats on the new Chie's! They look awesome with your outfit! I recently purchased my first pair (the Chie Teco in gold) from Endless when they were having a promo! I will have to check out farfetch.com since you had such a positive experience.

I've stalked Chie on Endless but never taken a bite. Yet. I remember the Teco. Brown and Gold T Strap. I think Anthro had a Platform Version last year.

I didn't find much else on farfetch that got my attention. Some of the stuff was beyond my comprehension of style. Except the Tosmos of course.

You are giving me Chie envy, Laura! Those Tosmos are G O R G E O U S.

I don't like all her shoes. But these are love. Her shoes are perfect for my feet too. Very comfortable even at 4.5 inches. Although these are really 3.5 with the platform.

I love Chie! I am a true size 6 and I almost always have to size UP to 36.5. I recently found a mustard suede Chie that sold out in my size at full price ON SALE in my size on the return rack. That is destiny, right?

Exactly! I got the last pair of Tosmos in size 38 from farfetch.com.

As of yesterday there was a pair of the ribbon swell heels in the sale section at Philadelphia Anthro. Can't remember the size.

Wow! For $100.

Wow..I got them on first cut. They are beauty's
How do the Ribbon Swells Fit? Are they narrow through the toe Bronzi? I would have loved to pick the Ribbon Swells up on 2nd cut. There was a size 38 that Popped back into my Wish List after 1st cut. I was checking several times a day. But after reading the reviews I chickened out. They were of course gone by the time I woke up the day they were cut to $100.

I normally wear a 38. I assumed they wouldn't fit the wide front of my foot.

But it's OK. I love the Tosmos.

I love Chies! You have quite a collection of them!

I have one pair of flats (the Lumi) and three pairs of pumps with names I'm not sure about. All were bought on major sale, if not from outlets. They are so comfy.

I don't really have any red pumps but I have red flats that always feel special to wear.

You were wearing a pair of Chie Mihara's just the other day.

Hope your research is going well.

I love your outfit! Those red shoes add just the right amount of pop to the outfit! This may be close to blasphemy but I actually only heard about chies a few months ago! I don't yet have a pair in my shoe collection, so I'll have to look at your amazing collection for satisfaction.

I was immersed in Anthro online very early on. I looked at everything. Oh, and of course I had Heidi (friend, coworker, and fellow Anthro coconspirator) to explain about Chie Mihara and of course Orla Kiely.

The Find is the best search engine for Chie Mihara and Orla Kiely Steph. Just in case you want a pair. Cheap.

Reader CPW mentioned a pair of Ribbon Swells were at the Philadelphia Anthro. They run small and narrow.

Ha-ha! I have a few pairs of shoes sitting on my Sale Page. But no Chie Mihara's.

My Tosmosmake me wish for more dresses that I can wear them with. I've avoided Red most of my life. But not any more. I want spring dresses with Red florals.

Good golly Laura! They're all so beautiful! The red ones are totes hot! Love 'em! And your note from your friend is the sweetest ever! What a wonderful friend!

I want to rip them off your feet right now! They're gorgeous in every way. I've been looking for the perfect pair of dressy reds for a while....so far, no dice. Of course, if I could afford Chie's, I would have the perfect reds by now. Congrats on your new babies.

Over my cold dead body....he-he! They are my babies. If you saved for a week you could.

I don't own any Chie Mihara's but I absolutely LOVE these red peep toes!! I was totally stalking the Ribbon Swell pumps though, but missed out on them :(

One of my Readers saw the Ribbon Swells in a PA store just last week. Didn't know what size they were. I wonder if they are $100. Almost 75% off. From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
Hi Laura! We're outfit twins, just like you said! And I love your new red suede heels. Usually, I associated red heels with patent leather rather than suede -- but now I know better. Chie Mihara makes gorgeous red suede heels! It's a good thing I never saw those Ribbon Sweel heels, because I don't think I could have resisted. They are just too cute, and exactly my style. I can't wait to see all the different ways you wear your Tosmos.

I was just looking at my Polka Peppered the other day and thinking that I needed to give it some love. Now I have an idea for how to wear it -- though the fabric always befuddles me. It's sort of a dark denim-like color...neither navy (like Anthro says) nor black...

And how funny that you just had jury duty, because I'm actually sitting in a juror's lounge right now, waiting to see if I'll actually be assigned to a trail. I am hoping I get dismissed. We are being audited on Wednesday by the federal dept. of ed (routine, nothing bad), and I REALLY need to be at work...though I must admit that getting to blog during regular working hours is a treat!
