Today was now or later for Anthro's Pick A Bunch Cardi.  Is there a rule against wearing a Fall outfit in early Spring? Katharine Hepburn said...
"If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun."
So True.  This is one fun Cardigan.  I couldn't wait for Fall to enjoy it.  Truth is I'm not looking forward to Spring and Summer Fashion. Or the Bakersfield Heat. I actually hurried Summer off last year in this POST.
BTW, I layered Anthro's Molded and Melded Tee under the Pick A Bunch.

My plan last Fall was to unite Anthro's Gold corduroy Neisden Skirt with the Pick A Bunch Cardi.  Even the best laid plans fall through. I went with an alternate by Athleta.

I belted over top the Pick A Bunch with Anthro's High Gloss Belt in Yellow, and draped myself with Anthro's Limoncello Necklace .  These were my attempt to distract you from my folly by throwing in Bright Spring Color.  But I know I could never fool you guys.  You can't miss the obvious.

And for my final Rule Breaking Quote...

"It never hurts to have a good excuse to break the rules," by GeoInCalifornia.

Excuse #1 - I recently managed to snag this Cardi on eBay. I missed my chance in the early AM when it hit sale. I was sleeping. Why I didn't try a store search is beyond me.  I was busy dreaming and plotting my Spring wardrobe.   I waffled back and forth before biting the bullet on eBay.

Here are even more of those wonderful Fall colors to amuse and distract you. After all, it's Fall somewhere on Earth.

I actually took the belt off, untucked the Tee shirt, and liked this outfit more.

Say farewell to this outfit.  You won't be seeing this again until Fall.  Or possibly never...

Excuse #2 - It's possible I may not be around next Fall.  As I was getting ready for work this morning, a news flash declared the End of the World to be May 21st 2011.  The date has been changed from Dec 12, 2012.  Which is the end of the Mayan calendar.

'It's time to Break the Rules and Party.
Are you a rule breaker?  Have you broken a Seasonal Outfit Rule?  Not that you need one, but did you have an excuse? Ha-ha!

Well, I did not know the end of the world was coming so quickly. Now I have MUCH less time to get into the kind of shape I was hoping for. Sigh...

Anyway, I like your fall look even though it's spring. Then again, I'm a major rule breaker. Perhaps we should start a club. :)

I love the club idea. Or even a challenge. The best Rule Breaking Outfit wins.

That is a great outfit! Don't you love Everybody brand shoes? They are so comfortable! I like the necklace you picked with it, too!

I am totally NOT a rule breaker, just a big ol' stick in the mud. When it comes to fashion, I am way late on to try new trends, typically, and rarely blur my summer clothes with my winter. Yawn, right?

Yes I do love Everybody Shoes. This was my first pair. I also like Orange. Can you tell?

No Katie! No yawn from me! Unique! Thank goodness we don't all use the exact same rules and dress alike. There would be no blogs from which to beg, borrow, or steal great ideas.

Oh my, May 21, 2011. I had been planning to look for a new apartment (one that actually has closets), but if everything is really going up in flames so soon, why bother? And why bother saving for my retirement -- I should just bulk up on my Anthro budget. Teehee...or not!

I remember the Pick a Bunch cardigan well, and like your autumnal styling. The cordoruy skirt adds some fantastic texture, especially in contrast to the smooth glossiness of the belt. And the cutouts in your Everybody's are fantastic! Really allow you to show off your tights!

I keep looking at all my floral attire (you know I have a lot), but have to remind myself that I'll have all summer to wear it. So I have been trying to wear more of my darker colors and heavier fabrics while I still can.

Sorry about that End of the World news. Ha-ha! It's the perfect start to Monday.

I say go forward as planned. Hopefully those that studied the Good Book have it wrong.

Bakersfield has reached a few 80 F days. Today is just over 70 F. So I haven't got goo many cool days left.

Of course, if the above prediction is true, we will never hit Summer. Tee-hee!

I love breaking rules! I think a good rules-breaking contest would be fun!

I really like this skirt on you. I like how it fits lower on your waist - it looks very nice. Awesome accessories, as usual:)

Oh! I gave your blog post about body art to my friend. She wants to use your artist for her next tattoo. I

Someone did a rule breaker not long ago. Participants dressed for Spring in Winter. I remember JG participated with several feet of snow on the ground.

It doesn't look as though you've broken any rules here. You look fantastic! As for bing a rule breaker well, that depends! I like to play it safe as much as I can. Sometimes when I'm out of inspiration I break them!
I the world really going to end ?! Id Bette stock up on anthro...

I was wondering about that. Just a couple of typos Jen.

No, the world isn't going to end on some date someone picks.

Farewell to your outfit, although I really like it so I hope to see it again (even if it's not until next fall)!

I'm pretty sure I break all kinds of seasonal fashion rules, especially when it comes to shoes. I'm always one of the first to wear sandals and peep toes for the season, and I've even worn flip flops in the snow!!!

Tights are an issue for me. It's so cold in my office in the Summer I want to wear tights all year round. Just to keep my legs warm. Summer fashion is harder for me. Winter easy!

I have one pair of Flip Flops on my back patio in case I need to chase a cat from the yard into the house. My son wears them all year round.
Aw, less than a month from the end? I wonder why my alien-acient mysteries conspiracy theorist of a BF didn't tell me about that! He's watched enough hokey YouTube videos and History Channel specials that he should have known better, haha!

I always have trouble with tights between seasons - don't want to give them up when it gets warmer and don't want to break them out when it gets cold. And I've been afraid to break out my yellow field skirt nowadays because isn't corduroy considered a cold weather fabric? Maybe I should get over myself!

Ha-ha! Your BF didn't tell you the World is coming to an end? You should probably let him know.

Oops! I broke the Corduroy Rule too. If I don't wear tights I feel self conscious about my old lady legs. And I get cold. Although I did read neutral tights are OK. But they look hideous.
