Do you Recognize This Dress?

Do you recognize this Dress?
Wait just a second...  here is a side view.

Did that help?  Hmmmmmm!  Maybe not.

OK!  I took off my Jackie Cardi.  Is it familiar now?  Maybe a few hints...

#1.  The designer is Corey Lynn Calter.
#2.  It's almost exactly the same as my favorite Anthro Dress from 2010.
#3.  The Print is very different but still a Silk/Cotton Blend.
#4.  The Tie is missing at the V in the back.

Enough Suspense!

Do you give up?

Are you ready for the Answer?

Or Yellow and Red! I have a reverse styling with a Red Kate Spade Cardi. The colors in the print make it so easy. There is Pink too. And Dark Purple.

I totally figured it out!! Definitively the Fragrant Valley shape. It looks great on you!

You have the Fragrant Valley Too Jess. I just saw you wearing it when I Googled the dress.

I did have it but I don't anymore. It had been a month or so and I still hadn't worn it. I was smart enough to keep the tags on this time! So I returned it.
You returned the Fragrant Valley Dress. It looked great on you Jess. I waited to order the Fragrant Valley until right before the Catalog was overwritten. Luckily Anthro put it on sale a few days before that.

Midory, Thank you! I love my new header. That is actually a Modcloth dress by Taylor Dresses. Don't you love it? The overly is like Eyelet done in Black circles.

Why wear a sweater in the summer? Don't get it.

Top 4 reasons to wear this Sweater in Summer are...
........#4 60 degree's F at 6 AM
........#3 It's brand new
........#2 I like it
........and the #1 reason to wear a Sweater in Summer is................ I CAN

Now... why leave a smart comment and no return address? I get it! You Can!
Love this dress! At first glance I thought that print was of beach balls! And really anon?? I wouldn't refer to a Jackie cardigan as a sweater. They're totally season-appropriate. Heck, I live in the DEEP South and occasionally need to throw on a cardi in the early morning or evening when it's cool. Back off.

Thank you Elizabeth! They are described as Painterly Tulips. And silly me, I forgot to take a photo showing the bright Yellow lining of the dress.

Woah! I had no clue! Even though the dresses are the same style, the pattern on the material makes it look like a completely different dress! It's very pretty! I love your shoes!!! I've really been going bonkers about yellow lately. I also like the blue polish! It's a great contrast!

I looked at the Modcloth dress several times before the light bulb came on. You would think I would have noticed sooner since I have the Fragrant Valley. Then tonight I saw a rather plain Corey Lynn Calter on sale on Gilt Fuse in the Modcloth Print. I've seen the Print from the Fragrant Valley in the black Motif on a jumper and 2 different CLC dresses. I've also seen the Fragrant Valley Print in a White Motif.

This dress looks gorgeous on you Laura! I remember you posting about the "look alike" a few weeks ago, so I recognized it right away. It is such a beautiful dress. I love how you styled it.

I wear a cardigan (usually a J. Crew Jackie) almost every single day. I love your top 4 reasons list:) Yes you can (and so can I)!!! Now that I see the yellow Jackie on you, I think that is the color I need to add to my closet next.
I love this print. (and no, I didn't guess it right away. Only ninjas like you do that....:) The Fragrant Valley is to die for as well....I'd get both too if I could and keep them forever and ever.
that close up photo of you is so beautiful Laura!!!

Thank you Peggy. The light was perfect at 6 AM. It was overcast, so as the sun was rising I started to take photos while it was still below the dark clouds. I had about a 15 minute window of morning light. I used it to my advantage.

I gave you love in my previous post Peggy.

I went back and forth over this dress for a Month. I knew what size to order (my FV dress is a 6) and I loved that the print was very different for me yet I loved it. But the price...ack.. I busted 1/2 my monthly clothing allowance. Completely worth it.

What a great dress!! I have the Fragrant Valley and it's so easy to wear and flattering. CLC could make several of these dresses in different prints, and I'd probably want every one of them! You look so cute and summery in the yellows and reds.

Carly, You are so right. The style of the dress is flattering. I love the V in the back. Of course there are the pockets. And did you notice the exposed Red zipper? Love that! The entire dress is lined in Yellow Cotton. And the Colors and Print are feminine, versatile and fun. I actually like not having the bow at the V. It makes for a smooth appearance under a Cardi. And the length is perfect. I think I just sold myself on the dress. Good thing, because I wore it all day.

I LOVE this out on you. The dress is so sweet and almost "Jackie-O--ish" with the folded neckline. The back is adorable! AND, as if I haven't gushed enough.... the yellow cardi completes the visual treat! Thanks for sharing it with us! I have GOT to try buying a dress from Modcloth.... I love their styles but I am stuck in my Anthro ways.... sigh.... I need to get over that one. Truly not gob-smacked by anything there lately. Have a happy 4th! Cheers!

Dear Sherry, Sometimes I feel like I am cheating on Anthro. I find myself searching Modcloth for the designers I love that Anthro has always offered. That's how I found this Corey Lynn Calter dress.

Thank you for the very nice compliments. I hadn't caught on to the Jackie-O image. And isn't it funny that the Yellow Cardi is named Jackie. I now have FIVE J Crew Jackie Cardi's.

More Jackie please!

Modcloth has far too many dresses. Most are too short, don't have extra details, or high end fabrics. There is a selection under dresses, called Longer Lengths. Or I search for Corey Lynn Calter, Eva Franco, Taylor Dresses, Stop Staring, Seychelles, Miss L Fire, Poetic License.

This bit of info just might have you jumping to Modcloth this very second. They carry Orla Kiely. Search it though. It's not listed in the Brand Directory.

It's 104 today. I can't deal with temps like that outside. So take fireworks photos for me? Ha-ha. Happy 4th!

Laura, if you didn't live clear on the other side of the country, I would be breaking into your house, this moment, to swipe this dress from you. It is just too stinking cute. That print is right up my alley, and the colors are so perfect for pairing with a sweet cardigan, as you've done. The beautiful cowl neckline really seems to work perfectly with this print, as well.

Gilt had some CLC items for sale a few days ago. This dress wasn't included, but there was another dress using this same print. In terms of silhouette, it looked an awful lot like the Enchanting Entomologist. I had to talk myself out of it (took a lot of convincing!). But ultimately, I remembered your review and determined that I didn't need yet one more party-type dress. Now, if THIS dress had been on Gilt, I dont' think I could have resisted : )

Hope you had a great 4th!

Ha-ha! I saw the dress with this exact same print on gilt. Wow did I do a double take. Because it was less than 1/2 the price. But the cut was nothing like Modcloths Atlantic Pacific or the Anthro's Fragrant Valley Dress. So all was right and good with the world or I would have waited at my back door and handed you this dress because of my stupidity. I paid an arm and a leg for that dress. It's pure love I tell you. Was it like the EE dress? Because I didn't recognize that.

I'm using a snipe on eBay! Fingers crossed.
