Thursday's OOTD - This and That from a Big Sale - A Thrifty Threads Giveaway

Thank goodness today is my Friday off.  I have never been so far behind on comment rounds. Bad weather knocked out cable and Internet service Wednesday night. As for last night, I apologize for having no excuse. So I will spend today playing catch-up. I can't wait to see what all you lovely Lady's picked up on sale from Anthro.

This is yesterday's OOTD.  A comfy, cozy outfit for a chilly day.

But first, Jamie of Thrifty Threads is having a Goulish Giveaway in honor of her last two wins.

What do you win?

$35 Gift card to CSN Stores
Miniature pumpkin candle (Pottery Barn)
Halloween cookie cutters (Target)
Candy corn flavored Hershey's Kisses
Hello Kitty Halloween stickers.

Entries must be submitted by Saturday, October 16th, at 11:59 PM.

How do you enter? Do one or more of the following:

1). Leave a comment at Thrifty Threads to tell Jamie if you are a follower and/or reader.
2). Click on over to CSN Stores and let Jamie know what you would purchase if you were to win.
3). Tell Jamie what your dream Halloween costume would be.
4) If you're a blogger, post about this giveaway and let Jamie know you've done so.

OOTD time...

When I don't feel like dressing up for work, I go casual with Athleta. I adore their collection of Cotton, Cashmere, and Angora blend sweaters. The knit is light weight, soft, and has no itch factor. I do find that many of Athleta's sweaters are too long in the body and sleeves.

My colorful hand crocheted scarf was a gift from my Mom a few years ago.  She is both beautiful, talented and a breast cancer survivor.

Athleta's Whatever Skort is perfect for a windy, rainy day.  Light weight, wrinkle resistant, quick drying, with the added security of built in shorts. I also have the skort in Viola.

I would be lost without at least one item from Anthro included in my OOTD.  I grabbed the Pin Dot Tights in both Brown and Navy on the way out the door of the Monterey CA store earlier this year.  If you are ever planning a visit in the area, don't forget to bring your 4-legged friend's along.  Because the entire shopping center, including Anthro, is dog friendly.

The first time I admired a pair of J-41's was on Heidi D.  She was wearing the Hybrids in the Bordeaux color.  I immediately ordered them in Brown from Zappos.  They give me a 2.5 inch boost with a Jeep engineered and trail rated platform.

sure miss one of my favorite Etsy shops.  Mud and Mint!.  I am hoping one day the shop will re-open.  Till then I love wearing Cari's creative natural stone jewelry.

I scored a few Anthro sale items yesterday!

This has been Wish Listed forever. I am keeping my fingers crossed since there are no reviews.  I dearly desire this neutral statement necklace as an addition to my collection. Not only is the name of the product intriguing (2 of Jupiter's 62 moons), but the use of metallic thread, wool and silk is fascinating.

A couple 5 star belts to add to my meager collection.

What tempted you from the Anthro sale?  Did you give into temptation?  How bad were you?  If you were able to overcome the urge I would love to know how you did this?  Leave a comment please.

Now....

Ready or not, here I come.  I am moments away from an afternoon of comment rounds.

Jess,

I bought something else today to. Yes! the Leifsdottir Paseo Ruffled Skirt. A 5 star review appeared this morning. The reviewer a size 4 with 27" waist. That's me. It was a sign. Plus size 2 sold out. That was my entire budget for October. I'm so happy.

Dea,

I wish I could just go to an Anthro. Try on anything I fancy. Take it home and ponder if I might return it or not. I just pray at least one thing fits in the order. Like the Leifsdottir Paseo Ruffled skirt I ordered today.

Ali,

If the belts work OK, that will make 5 whole Anthro belts.

The scarf is beautiful! And, it's so special that it's from your mom. What a treasure!

I agree with Lori that your scarf is marvelous. I would wear it every day, both for its beauty and its sentimental value. And thank you so much for the wonderful post about my giveaway -- now I want to enter!

I wasn't intending to get anything this sale, but my cousin and his wife surprised me with a belated b-day gift -- an Anthro card, of course! I found the Impressionist's Dream dress in my size for $40, and a mustard-colored Edme & Esyllte top for $10! Great deals, and I've already worn the top. With the pink accents in the dress, I think I can top if off with a pink cardi for participation in the BBCA challenge.
