Pebbled and Primped with the Plaid Perthshire on Heart Day!

Happy Valentines Day! Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend with someone they love.

Dear Blog Friends,  Have you ever pushed the PUBLISH BUTTON before you intended? That's what I did yesterday with Inspiration That Rocks #2, which was not scheduled to Post until Wednesday.  A couple of Readers were fast on the comments.  I removed the Post.  Let's pretend you didn't see it. It's still scheduled to fly early Wednesday morning.  So if you submitted a Rock Photo, don't miss Wednesday's Post.

Perthshire Dress - by Edme & Esyllte - Anthro Orig $168 Sale $80 - Nov 2010
Regine Cardigan - by Leifsdottir - Anthro Online Exclusive Orig $198 Sale $100 - Sept 2009
Opaque Tights in Charcoal Heather - by Hue - Anthro $12.50 - Feb 2010
Pebbled and Primped Boots - by Miss Albright - Anthro $258 - Oct 2010
Mrs Blackbeard's Necklace - by Wendy Mink - Anthro Orig $198 Sale $50 - Feb 2011

This is style #3 for the Perthshire Dress by Edme and Esyllte.  This time I decided to go with the matching tie belt.  Only because any other belt would have been distracting below a long statement necklace.

See the Perthshire Dress in Style #1 HERE, and Style #2 HERE.

Mrs Blackbeard's Necklace - by Wendy Mink - Anthro Orig $198 Sale $50 - Feb 2011
Anthro let go of the Perthshire on sale end of November. Three months after it's release in the September Catalog. However, they held onto Mrs. Blackbeards Necklace by Wendy Mink  in hopes of selling them at full price. When the necklace finally dropped from $198 to $100 in mid January, I was tempted.  Instead I kept a close watch to see how it would sell.  When all versions were still available after a few weeks, I was hoping for a 2nd cut.  That's exactly what happened.  I picked this lovely necklace up for 75% off. It will work nicely with the Attention to Details Dress in Taupe also.

I've had the lovely Regine Cardigan by Leifsdottir for sometime.  I think I've worn it twice. I thought it was the perfect Ruffled, Red piece to add Romance to this special day.  It's about as soft and comfy as any sweater in my closet. The drape gives a very flattering silhouette.

I went with Heathered instead of solid Grey Tights. See the Opaque Tights in Charcoal Heather. I was looking for just a touch of textured interest above the Pebbled and Primped Boot by Miss Albright , and below the Dark Dress. I love the front pockets detail on Orla Kiely's Reversible Leather Shoulder Bag.

I finally reached boot saturation point with the Saddle Seat Boots. I truly live them all.

Laura you look so cute and Valentine-y today! That necklace is such a statement with the Perthshire dress (which always looks so perfect on you)! Happy Valentines Day to you and yours, pretty lady!
I love this! That photo of you with the heart near your head is so pretty, you look giggly and happy there! I hope you and your honey have a wonderful v-day!
So lovely! What a perfect OOTD for Valentine's Day. Seeing you in these boots is making me feel more willing to overlook the imperfections in the pair I'm holding on to...

Have a lovely day today!

Uh-oh! What's wrong with your P & P Boots JG? Because there are subtle color differences in mine that I think add depth to the boots and only serve to make them more versatile.

1) The lining is coming up in the heel
2) There is a dent on the front of one of them

What are your thoughts? The store is willing to give me 40% off the second cut price, so I'd get them for about $36 final sale.
Wow! What a deal. I paid full price and adore them even at that high cost. So the answer is go for it.

Okay, you talked me into them!
Take them to the shoe repair. Or do it yourself for very little. Fill on the dent with shoe polish. If it's a large dent try to push it out from the inside. Get some household glue and glue the lining down.

Could you recommend a color/brand of shoe polish that you think would work on these boots? I'm completely clueless when it comes to leather shoe care.
Probably just Black. Fill it in and let it dry real good. Then buff it out.

Laura, you look so pretty and festive. Did your son give you that Valentine heart you're holding in the pics? And yes, I have clicked the PUBLISH BUTTON before I intended, I have fat fingers :) Oh and I did notice your new post title on my blog roll, but when I clicked on it, it went back to an old post.

BTW, I bought your book yesterday. I hope it's a good read. I haven't been doing much reading lately except for blogs. It's high time I read an actual book from cover to cover.

I cut that heart out of a gift bag this morning. I got a tripod for my camera.

Nooooooo, I was gonna do a post and tell all the bloggers who I've come to know in a small but sweet way and who have mentioned interest in my book NOT to buy it. I just feel like it would cheapen the whole experience, know what I mean. I was gonna do that in a week or two, I am just so nervous about it so I haven't even told anyone it's out. Plus, I was gonna disclose that it's chick lit genre so there is little or no substance, plus if you find politically incorrect shows like The Office offensive then it's probably not your cuppa tea. Maybe you can return it, lol. If you do read it, I hope you won't be disappointed.
The pops of gold on your necklace stand out so beautifully against the Perthshire. And you got the necklace for such a great deal -- I am impressed! I think the long cardigan works perfectly with the asymmetrical dress hemline, as well. And if anyone would have the perfect V-Day Orla Kiely bag, it's definitely you. Love the mix of ivory, red, and olive on your bag. I might just need to try that color combo in an outfit.

And thanks so much for the Glanz dress review. I really love the chocolate band -- an unexpected color next to the turquoise and kelly green. But it looks like the sizing is so off!

I have really gained weight in all the wrong places for this dress. I'm not the only one that was crushed by this dress. I've already moved on. The De Chelley Dress is a bit too snug. I will post it for sale to the community at cost. Hopefully today.

Are you planning on getting the De Chelly in bigger size? I had to size up too and ended up returning it coz the fabric wrinkled too much for me. I ironed it and within minutes of wearing it, it was a wrinkled ball. p/s I just realized I sounded a little ungrateful earlier, so I just wanted to say thank you too for getting my book :) It means a lot to me that you got it. I need to get over my nervousness about it.

I'll keep an open mind. That book cover in the upper right hand corner of your blog is enticing. I naturally figured you wanted someone to check it out. But then perhaps you were hoping no one would considering your jitters.

Ha-ha

There are days that I don't like my OOTD. But I still prepare and publish it. Then hope no one will notice. Or better yet, someone will tell me I'm wrong, and it's lovely.

One thing I truly hope is that they tell the truth so I know I was successful. If not I really want to know where I went wrong, so next time I won't doubt myself.

Take today for example. I grabbed what looked like a Brown skirt under my bathroom lights, but is in fact Olive Green. Not the first time this darn skirt has thwarted my OOTD. Yet I still make that mistake. Hmm! Maybe I should post the OOTD and take my medicine. Then put a large sign on the hanger that IDs the color.

Laura

I have been ordering too much Anthro. Yesterdays delivered are today's returns.

Oh! In answer to the De Chelley! Not planning on resizing. The dress just isn't me. I was sucked into the Blogger excitement and lost all my marbles on that dress. I already have 2 very similar dresses. The Graphical Dress and the Lynx and Leo.

I thought the wrinkled, messy, look was all the rage.
