University of Anthro! Positive Rotation and a New #1 Dress!

Anthropologie's Fragrant Valley Dress by Corey Lynn Calter
Happy Saturday Dear Readers!

I set out early Friday Morning for the campus of my Alma Mater.  It was the final day of my week long Ops Geology Class. The focus for the day on the role of the Ops Geologist in Drilling.

California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) Amphitheater

It was time to break out a new spin on my morning photo routine.  I'm certain you will see a noticeable change in my rotation. Perhaps more like my former self.  I worked my faithful tripod and camera remote. Does this pose above remind you of Super Woman preparing to lift the Amphitheater into the Blue?  I wasn't going for that.  It's my way of saying TGIF.

I graduated in 1994 with my B.S. in Geology (Environmental Studies) and accepted my diploma on this very same slab of concrete, minus a roof.  CSUB hosts the Bakersfield Jazz Festival on this very spot.  By day and under the stars.

I'm wearing Anthro's Fragrant Valley Dress by Corey Lynn Calter.  This dress alone, can correct negative forces, and reverse a spin in the positive direction.

It falls #3 on my All Time Favorite Dress List. Unfortunately booted from the #1 spot by a Half Sister the Atlantic-Pacific Dress from Modcloth now in the #2 position.

Um...no that isn't the Robot Johnny 5 from Short Circuit.

It's the lean shadow of my haphazard photographer.   Today he has managed to cast his shadow away from me. I'm completely to blame for his shadow blunder HERE.

Are you wondering what Dress has rocketed to #1?
The answer it imminent!

I had no idea The Fragrant Valley Dress had Flower Seeking Capabilities.  Not only that, it appears to seek it's own kind.  Irises.  Such special powers are spared for Anthro's Shining Eddie Bracelet by Tataborello.

I stopped here to Enjoy.

I could not have asked for this bank of flower stalks and leaves in the most brilliant shade of Greenest Green. From now on, this dress is hear by declared my Lucky Dress?  Not only that, my Toe Nail Polish is aptly named...get this... Ivy League.

I swear I didn't plan this. OK!  To call my school Ivy League is a huge stretch. Oh the Luck of it all.

I have contemplated rubbing my hands on my FVD and casting a first Wish in hopes a Genie will appear.  My first Wish? More Anthro Dear Genie!

I digress back to Thursday. At which time I am wearing Anthro's Sailboat Skirt by Odille with the Who's-Got-The-Button Top by Pilcro in White.  The sizng is true.  There is a narrow section up the front and center that is slightly sheer, with a double layer on each side.  The sides under the arm are also single layer and sheer.  You will need to layer over or under.

Shop Anthro's Sailboat Skirt 0-10 HERE.

The Ops Geology Class focused on Pressures and Fluids in the Drilling Environment.  During class I noticed a Young Gal wearing Anthro's Amplified Stripes Blouse in Red.  If it pertains to Anthro, it qualifies as note worthy.

Today I had the opportunity to meet up with a Local Reader.  Allison is from the Small Mountain community of Lake Isabella, an hours drive to the East of Bakersfield. She and her 3-year old son Brady met me on campus to pick up the En Plein Air Dress that was too Small for me. We chatted for a few minutes.  She has the most gorgeous Red hair and perfect skin tones to show off the Brilliant, Colorful Print of Eva Franco's Dress.  She was a pleasure to meet.  I hope to see her again in the future.

Hmmm.....what could this new dress be?? Is it an Eva Franco one? Or one you got from mod cloth? Sugared dress? Is it the clc sugared dress?? Im dying to find out!
Love your styling of the sailboat skirt. The top looks like polka dots!
I love these photos but you have my stumped about number 1!

hmm... I can only imagine it would be another number by Corey Lynn Calter. But which one??? I am so curious!
I'm stumped. But love the green toes!

Quick question about the Jackie in lacquer yellow. I'm thinking about getting it but as I'm a strawberry blonde, yellows are tricky. Would you say this shade is more of a pale yellow or neon-y bright? I'm hoping it's more of a pale lemon. Thanks!

Lauren,

The Laquer Yellow Jackie? Hmmmm! That's a tough call. It's definitely not Pale Yellow. But I wouldn't call it Neon either. It is Bright though. But there are no Green or Gold undertones. I have Red highlights and don't have an issue with the color.

I hope that helps, Laura

heheh, I know which dress it is :)

The bracelet you are wearing with the CLC dress is stunning! I would normally balk at the price, but that beauty is worth every penny! Love the sailboat skirt, too. Such a fun summer piece.

Haha JG! You are the only blogger that knows. BTW, I wrote that I would reveal the identity as tomorrow. I should have stated Monday. I think I read that Rue La La credits you after delivery.

From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
oh, good to know (re: ruelala). Thanks!
I think I know which one it is too but I don't know the name :))

I love your outfit with the Sailboat skirt: it's on top of my skirt-wishlist :))
ahhhhh! I can't wait to see your #1 dress!!! I also love the sailboat skirt so much.
Hi Laura, after hearing your rave reviews of EZ sniper, I gave it a ty today and won an Anthro dress on eBay I've been lusting after since I returned it last year. Thanks so much. BTW, I used your link :)

Liza,

How do you feel about the results? It was easy wasn't it? And cheap! Did you stick around and watch the final bidding? Or did you let EZ Sniper do the work?

If you were like me, I forget about the auction. When I received the win notification, I couldn't believe how easy and stress free it was.

Congratulations.

What did you win?

I wasn't positive how it worked so I kept checking the auction. Finally, I said to my husband, I don't think this thing works, there's no bid on my behalf. He told me that the bidding wouldn't happen to the last few seconds. I was very nervous....watched it to the end. I guess I have trust issues with a program. lol
I won the June July August dress. I bought this dress last year. Tried it on several times at home and finally decided to return it. Regretted it ever since and now I own it. I'm so excited.
I'll definitely give the Snipe another try.
There are a few different Prints for the June July Aug? I like the medallion Print.

I just won a dress 30 minutes ago. The Green Striped Caranday Dress.I'm a Corey Lynn Calter fan. They fit me perfect. I just hope this one doesn't run too small. $212.50. Woohoo. That is alot. But the owner claims she never wore it.

We are on a roll with EZ Sniper. It's dangerous and powerful at the same time. I hope we don't ever bid against each other.

Laura, you are one tricky lady! You certainly know how to delay providing the needed information...in the words of Johnny 5, "Need input!" Tell me what dress it is! You sure know how to keep us guessing...lots of pleasant distractions but no resolution!!! If California politicians ever needs to filibuster a vote, they should call you up, my friend!

I'm going to guess CLC's Backswept dress...but that might only be because I love it so much. I'm not sure it would meet your description of being versatile...more of a very beautiful one-trick pony. I have avoided trying it on, because I know it will be true love!

And those Highest Vista platforms? Oh my -- such a fun, unique style. The wooden platforms and color blocking have such a mod feel.

Hope you have a great week!

Hi Jamie my Friend,

You are close. It is most definitely a CLC.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't batted an eye at The Backswept.

The post is already up ...just for you.

I'm shocked that you didn't figure it out Jamie. You know me so well. JG knew because I told her. But it was Jen that made the correct educated guess. She has radar for all us bloggers.

I hope you get your Backswept Dress. The more Coral, the more beautiful you are.

I literally could cry fat elephant tears everytime you wear those shoes....how I pine for them. And your wearing of the sailboat skirt has me pining for my waist so I can twirl mine around a time or two. Looking lovely, as always!

Before you know it, baby boy will be bouncing on your Sailboat covered lap. I can picture him making grabby hands for those boats. Hee-Hee!

Why haven't you worn your Sailboat Skirt Peggy? Are you saving it for a special occasion? You know, I haven't seen you wear that adorable dress from eShakti with the Victrola on it. I love that dress.
