Oooh, I do love that Chartreuse Shoots dress. It looks beautiful on you. Upon seeing only two left in stock in my size online, I went ahead and ordered...I'll debate the value of owning both this dress and the Verdant Slip once it arrives. Le sigh, you get me again, Anthro.

Those Dulce Vita shoes are fabulous! The teal is a great accent to go with the brown.

As for that lovely orange Leifsdottir dress, I would wear it with a structured, cropped jacket/blazer---preferably white, if you've got one. I bet you'd even get the same effect with a crisp, button-down white shirt worn unbuttoned and with the sleeves casually rolled up.

JG, A women can't have too much Silk or Floral. We are wise.

I like your idea for the Sweet Tangelo Dress. I don't have the Blazer, but I do have the shirt. Thanks.

I own the Charteuse Shoots dress, too! It has become one of my favorite dresses for the summer. The silk is light and so comfortable. I didn't size up either. Went with regular size and it's slightly snug at the shoulders, but not enough to size u/

Diem, Question! Do you tie your dress to the back or front? I like both. So it makes the decision difficult. You know...Front...Back...Front...Back. See what I mean. Hehe! Although front is the easiest choice.

Did you find your Green Dolce Vita's?

From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
I've only worn it once and I tied in the back. But I also like it tied in the front. It depends on what I am wearing on top. If I am wearing a cardigan, I tie it in the front. No cardigan, in the back. Unfortunately, I didn't find the green Dolce Vitas. Thanks for asking.
Diem, Yes! If wearing a Cardi, tying in the front makes sense. Sorry you couldn't find the Green DV's. Have you considered the Red? Or should I not influence you, by NOT suggesting them? Oops! Too late. Tee-hee!

You look so gorgeous in chartreuse, Laura! Ha! I never noticed that the print is the same as the Verdant Slip Dress - I've loved the Chartreuse Shoots at a distance, and it's totally my style, but I'm saving my pennies for the new catalog stuff! :) I also adore that Sea Ribbons bracelet - such a great piece!!!

I should follow your lead and start saving for Fall. Actually, Besides this dress, the only purchases I have made are J Crew Cardi's. I returned most of my last couple of Anthro orders.

If you decide to get the Chartreuse Shoots we can do another Anthro Switcharoo Post.

You know what! At first I thought to much Orange with the Celosia Cardi. But then I remembered something I learned recently from Jamie of Thrifty and Threads. There is no such thing as too much Coral.

You picked my favorite clogs. I realized tonight that I can change the ribbon tie in the back of the shoes, to any color I so choose. Which suddenly makes those shoes very versatile.

Thank you so much for the outfit suggestions.

You look stunning in your Chartreuse Shoots Dress Laura, and I love how you styled it with those goooorgeous shoes.
And the Sweet Tangelo Dress - the detail is beautiful. it goes so well with the Butterfly Cardi! Seems like you are experience some crazy hot weather over there - why dont you send some warmth down under! please!!

The scallops on the Sweet Tangelo, strongly remind me of the Mompos. The Winter before the Tangelo came out, Leifsdottir had the Icicles Dress. I purchased the Green version. It was so Beautiful. Like a Pine tree with a dusting of ice around the edges. I had no where to go in that dress.

I returned the dress to the Fresno Ca Store. The clerks fought over it. They never see Leifsdottir like that in their store. Why didn't I keep that dress? The embroidery was so beautiful.

If I send heat, please reciprocate with cold. Even my bed feels like a broiler tonight. Gasp!

Oh Laura, you look absolutely gorgeous in your Chartreuse Shoots dress. You definitely nailed it with the 70s vibe shoes! I love the main colour of that dress, such a pretty green with your hair colour and complexion. I am loving the Sweet Tangelo dress, too! WOW, that one is a stunner. The scalloped detailing is out of this world! I WANT I WANT I WANT!! :) As far as styling goes, you know me lately - I would put a lace top underneath it so I wouldn't cover up all the lovely details with a cardigan. And then I'd probably pair it with accessories in soft pastels (like blush tones or minty greens).

I laughed when I read your comment. I searched for a lace top all weekend Carly. I kid you not. I finally decided on the VS lace top. There are actually two versions. Then I changed my mind. It may be too White. Then I waffled, back and forth until I realized, I wasn't perfectly satisfied yet. I probably should not wait too long. Fall Season is upon us. Little Ivory Lace tops will soon be history.

I want your F21 Top. If you ever decide to sell it, please send it my way. Right now you are thinking, not a chance. Right?

I found myself looking for a similar top with little capped sleeves. I am obsessed with finding my perfect layering top in stretch lace.

Too cute Laura! Have you ever thought of swapping your color palette on the Tangelo dress? A brilliant blue on top (like the Abuzz Cardi) with a graphite color on the bottom? ~ Elsie

I actually tried to do this very thing the morning I wore the Tangelo. But I tried it with the Teal Cardi from the Gap that is more dull in Color than the Abuzz. The Abuzz is too heavy for summer. Im also worried how two Vintage looking pieces would do to my image if worn together. I'm old enough to be a Grandmother, but I'm not. I got stuck on the sandals. The DV's are more Turquoise than the Teal Gap Cardi. I tried on so many pairs and wasn't happy with any of them. The style was off or flats didn't work with the dress.

Laura, I'm loving the Chartreuse Shoots dress on you! It's so summery and colorful and looks great paired with your OK bag. You may have just convinced me that I need to track down this dress in my size...
Both dresses look wonderful on you. I especially love the tangelo dress. The white overlay is so graphic on the orange. Feels very modern. Although I LOVE LOVE it with the teal shoes, you could also add more white/yellow to the look to go with the mod feel of the dress.

Oh wow Lori! You are amazing! The Polyvore is perfect. I forget that color groups are everywhere in our daily life.

I tried the
Anadyomene Cardi and the Finest Hour Heels with the Sweet Tangello. It looked washed out. What I hadn't done was add Yellow. So this is perfect. Thank you so much for much. I love it!

Hi Laura! Oh, the bracelet you are wearing is truly stunning. I can't remember seeing it in a previous outfit, but it is one gorgeous piece. Chartreuse is one of my very favorite colors (makes frequent appearances in my apartment decor, along with all the toucan knickknacks!). But I am afraid to wear much chartreuse!

I'll have to spend some time perusing your closet to see if anything is calling out to be worn with the Sweet Tangelo : ). My first instinct is try wearing it with the Earthly Delights cardigan. I seem to remember that that cardi is a little heavier, but perhaps it ill be okay for an aggressively air conditioned office : )

I am completely understanding of Bird Obsessions. Besides Parrots, I havoc sprinkling of Hummingbirds here and there.

Navy Blue and Orange are excellent together. I will definitely try the Earthly Delights Cardi next time.

Hey Laura, were you looking for this sweater a month or two back? Maybe it's not the shade of yellow you wanted...

It's actually a slightly different sweater. I was looking for the Ruffled Celosio. I got the J Crew Jackie in Yellow instead. I love it. Thanks for the info.

Whoops, now I realize it was the Celosia cardigan!
