Did you notice something different about Anthro's Finest Hour Heels?  I replaced the Brown Ties with Yellow Ribbons.

I've been saving all those colorful ribbons that are sewn inside the bodice of clothing?  They are the perfect length for these shoes.

I've been bitten by the J Crew Jackie bug. Thanks to many of you, including Kristin of Lovely Apidae, and Stephanie of Bar Chic, I now have a small collection of these Machine Wash, Tumble Dry, Cotton Blend Marvels, infused with Everlasting Stretch. Seen HERE. The color selection includes Classic Favorites, Neon Brights, and Bold, Rich Hues.  At $62 a piece, the price is outstanding. I am wearing size Small.

I wore my Yellow Jackie twice this week.

Sunspots Necklace - by Nashelle - Anthro Orig $198 Sale $100 - June 2011

I grabbed Anthro's Sunspots Necklace on sale a few weeks ago.  Roxy of Effortless Anthropologie recommended it.  I'm a natural stone type of Gal when it comes to jewelry.  Solar Quartz is a fancy name given to White Quartz cut with facets.  This necklace also feature very small Labradorite Briolets. One of my favorite minerals.  Remember "Inspiration that Rocks" for Labradorite?

I woke up Tuesday morning and styled this outfit around the Necklace.  Something I have done many times. The outfit fell into place easily.  Something that rarely happens.

What is so different for me about this outfit?  I'm wearing Anthro's High Gloss Belt at hip level.  I have never worn a belt at hip level.  But with the Cardi over top, I found this styling to be very flattering.  I didn't much care for the look, minus the Cardi.

What element of this style is new to me?

It's the placement of the belt. I'm wearing Anthro's High Gloss Belt in Yellow at hip level.  I found this styling to be very flattering with the Yellow Jackie over top.

I picked up Anthro's En Plein Air Dress by Eva Franco on Pop Back, second cut for $70.  The opportunity appeared during Tuesday mornings sale.  I grabbed at it before it disappeared.  Then I read the reviews.  The dress runs Small.  There is no way a Size 4 will ever fit me.  It will be delivered next week.  At which time I will place it on EA's Buy Post to see if a community member wants the dress at cost ($70) plus ship with Insurance ($8).

Laura! RUN, do not walk, to Ruelala.com. There is an Eva Franco sale going on right now and you can buy the En Plein Air, called the Violet Bloomtown Belted Dress, for $80 + $10 shipping. It's not quite $70, but it's still available in size 6! I had to size up from 6 to 8, so I'd be surprised if your true size four fit you. If you need a ruelala invite, here's my link: http://bit.ly/pS0idU. I got to the sale early enough to pick up the En Plein Air *and* the Mullany dress! Lucky me :-D

I like this outfit on you a lot. I don't think I've ever seen you in pants, but these crisp light pants look great. Still classy, just with a touch of casual.

I can't believe you picked up the Mullany for an amazing $100. So jealous right now! I did get the Violet Bloomtown (En Plein Air). Thank you so much for alerting me. I think I have checked Ruelala maybe twice in 6 months. I used your link, so you get the credit.

Thanks! I was definitely excited about the Mullany. I figured that even if I don't like it, I can return it to Ruelala for a refund.

I'm glad you were able to pick up the En Plein Air! I missed out on the Aniseed Skirt, which I've been stalking on ebay, because I didn't check Haute Look in time a few weeks ago. So frustrating!
OK! Never heard of Haute Look. Do I need an invite?

The ribbon idea with your shoes is so smart! And I agree...the belt definitely works and flatters you!
Hey Laura, I had a package from Anthropologie that the post office said it was delivered, but it was not. So I bought a skirt that was in that box again. A week later, I got my "lost and found" box finally. Either the post office found it or a neighbor got it by mistake and decided to return a week later. I contacted Anthro to say that I haven't received the skirt that I had to re-buy and if I could have the order cancelled. They told me to refuse the package when I receive it. I got the package, unopened, and took to the post office. They said that since I didn't open and was refusing, the package goes back to Anthro. And Anthro said that they'd refund me 100%, including shipping, if I did that. So it's an option, you can refuse the package and receive your refund, including shipping. You can call CS and ask about that to confirm.
BTW, the dress does run small, but not one whole size small. It's tight on the bust, but I got my regular size and I kept it. So maybe you'd like to give it a try, who knows?

Hi Marcela,

Thanks for the info. Turns out I picked up the Eva Franco Dress from Ruelala. Many thanks to JG of Stuff Jewish Girls Like. She alerted me to the fact that Ruelala is having an Eva Franco Sale right now. It was $10 more than Anthro's price, but this one should fit me. I can only hope.

Yes! I know about refusing a delivery, so I don't end up having to pay return ship. I have used this method a few times.

This package has other items besides the dress in it that I know I want.

Oh great! The colors of the En Plein Air are gorgeous!
Are you tempted by the "Red Pepper heels"? I am so tempted! Good thing that my size is sold out for now. maybe they will re-stock them. Then I don't know how much longer I will be able to resist!
Marcela,

The Red Peppers are in my Wish List. All Chie Mihara's make the cut. But my Tosmos continue to do an excellent job satisfying my lust for Red Suede from Miss Mihara. <a href="http://lauravirtualcloset2010.shutterfly.com/4279

The strange thing is....after checkin ghttp://www.chiemihara.com/chiestore/default.asp?tipo=3&lim=5 I could find no sign of these on her site. I can assume these are pre-season Fall Winter offerings. And since they are selling so well, I can only assume a re-stock is very possible.

I found a few photo's on various sites. It was then I stumbled on a winner. Your Mihara shoe lust is for the Enara.

Than I saw the Falla. Say yes to the Polka Dot, T Strap, Mary Jane.

Excellent finds!!! I will wait... very patiently! I got my 3 pairs of Chie Mihara at Anthro and it's the only place that has an awesome price when they go on sale. I'd love to buy a pair that I saw on Chie store, but the shippng to the US is $50 euros! Wow! I need a partner in Europe!

I've never ordered from the chie store either. I often check the store for the names of her shoes so I can search them. Keep an eye on farfetch.com. And Clementines Shoes. The find is the best Search engine for Chie Mihara's. ShopStyle pales in comparison. I picked up a pair of chie's at Nordstroms a few years ago for 65% off. The last pair in my size minus the box. I did not care. It was my very first pair for less than Anthro's sale price.

The yellow Jackie has been added to my wishlist:) I have lots of different colors, but no yellow (yet). It's a really nice shade of yellow, not too pale, not too bright. It looks great on you, especially with the yellow belt and gorgeous shoes!

I love what you did with the ribbon in the shoes - how creative!

Kristin,

It dawned on me the morning I was putting on this outfit. I was so tempted to go Yellow on the Precious Stones Dress. That is how I have always worn it. After going blue, I felt the need to add a touch of Yellow somewhere. That's when I remembered my collection of ribbons.

You will love the Laquer Yellow Jackie. I can't believe I ordered the Neon Azalea Jackie, with Canary Yellow Monogram no less. I rarely wear Pink. Usually a pale version. I cann hardly wait for it to arrive in two weeks. I also ordered the Cerise with a Sept Ship date, and the Rosewood with an Oct ship date. I don't think I have ever had to wait so long for anything on backorder. Ever!

I would be very interested to know the Jackie colors you have.

From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
Laura, thanks for all of the iphone app recommendations! I now have a handy little app folder titled "shopping":)

I don't know if I can remember all of the colors I have, but I will give it a shot. Pink, lavender, wine, black, navy, light brown, mint (one of my faves), light green, grass green, bright blue, steel blue and gray. That's all I can think of right now. I definitely have room in my closet for the yellow!

I can't wait to see the neon azalea!
kristin,

Whoa! Twelve Jackie's! You are my idol! Mint? Is that the same as Breeze? There was one size Small, Breeze on sale, on the J Crew Site today. I visited it several times today. Is that crazy? I finally decided to go for it. When I went to check out, they cancelled it. Boo! No more size Small's on sale.

They just put all the Cashmere colors (the one with pockets) on sale for $99. Must be preparing for Fall Colors.I bought a Featherweight Cashmere in Dahlia, and I love it, but it's not the same as the Jackie. Same shape yes, but not the same staying power. Dahlia is absolutely gorgeous though.

I washed my Yellow Jackie the other day. Regardless of the tag, I couldn't bring myself to put it in the dryer. I'm wearing it again on Monday.

What Season do they stock the Bright Blue? My closet is begging for one of those.

The Neon Azalea will be two weeks for the Monogram. The Cerise won't ship until September. The Rosewood won't ship until Early Oct. Is it common to wait so long for Jackie's? I suppose your Cardi's come from a Brick and Mortar.

From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
Just had a look at ruelala, thanks to JG! I can't tell you how envious I am to read that you scored some goods. I went and looked, but no more in my size...I'm sad.
This is a different look for you and you know what.. It looks fab Laura. You look really sophisticated and timeless actually. I don't think I've ever worn my belts at hip level. I always freak out that it might shorten me!
I bought my first chie Maharas in Vegas on sale and I haven't looked back. They are seriously comfortable, and the ultimate eye candy for the feet.

OMG! You will want more. You can't stop at just one pair of Chie Mihara's. Have you posted them yet? Did I miss them?

The only drawback with this outfit is when I take off the Cardi. I took photo's. Made me look wide. The open Cardi is the saving grace. The narrow bit of belt can still show through while the open area is slimming. I think I can come up with a few new outfits right from my closet using this same idea.

From my Yahoo Mail - Laura
Tres chic!
It's so nice to see you back! You look radiant in yellow, Laura :) It brightens you up and looks beautiful with your hair colour. I love the Jackie cardigan and that belt is super flattering on you! I will have to check out this link that JG posted... sounds like some amazing deals!
Laura, I love this outfit! The navy and yellows are so summery. I love the white pants and the low-slung high gloss belt. Perfecto. So glad you got your En Plein Air in the right size. Off to visit RueLala now!

Oh cool. If you buy something use my link. I get $10. I used JG's link of Stuff Jewish Girls Like, and gave her $10. She's the one that alerted me to the dress at Rue La La.
