I have no excuse for being MIA for almost a week. Today's Post is brought to you by the always wonderful Pamela of Ginger Girl. Pamela and I share a love of all things Orla Kiely. Last week she asked about sizing for Anthro's Briny Winds Jacket by We Love Vera. Which reminded me that I have not yet worn the Jacket this Spring.
More Trial and Error with the SLR. If my last images were too dark, these are too light. I did finally find the reset button. Photos come out very nice everywhere but my living area. Just look at the photo of my new Chie Mihara's taken in the yard.

Wingspan Brooch - by Chilean Artist Chantal Bernsau - Anthro Orig $98 Sale $50 - Nov 2009 A Rose Is A Rose Earrings - by Etsy Shop Magillie $18 - March 2009 |
I was a total fan of Chantal Bernsau's horsehair art jewelry. I was a bit disappointed to find out that Anthro's Wingspan Brooch was not constructed of horsehair. I believe it's plastic of some sort. Of course I can no longer find the screen shot I kept of the original Product Page. I won't cry over it, because I think it was the perfect choice for a shoulder Garnish with Anthro's Briny Winds Jacket.
The very funny unplanned accessory in this photo is the well placed curly hair stuck to the front of my Jacket just below the large top button. By the time I saw this little miscreant in the photo it was gone. Who forgot to make a mirror check yesterday morning? Me! Did I forget to mention this is yesterday's OOTD. Today I am wearing my Green De Armee Dress.
Now for something really dark. I was playing with flash setting and modes yesterday. As if you didn't already guess that. Ha-ha!
I have nothing but deep down abiding love for my over sized Shiny Leather Caraway Bag in Mauve by Orla Kiely.
Memorial Weekend is finally here. I'm so jazzed. Remember, I hinted that something special was coming. Hee-hee! I'm meeting that very special person tomorrow afternoon for the first time. I'm so exited I want to scream. I made all the arrangements. The perfect location has been found and we have permission to be there first thing Saturday morning. And the weather in Bako is simply gorgeous and cool. Your dieing to know what it is aren't you?
Zip! That's me shutting my big mouth.
I read a rumor that there may be a special Anthro sale today. This morning there was no sign of anything. But sales have been known to happen later in the day before. I'm just saying. Keep your eyes peeled.
I WILL catch up on blog rounds after Saturday. Promise! I want to see what everyone else picked up from sale. Here are my two picks. Yep, just two!

I don't think I've seen you in pants either Jen. How about that! Ha-ha! You don't wear them either, do you? I have a closet full of them though. All Anthro!

I stalked the Wingspan Brooch after Anthro put the Briny Winds on sale. I wanted it badly. Finally picked it up almost a year later at half price. Someone said it looks like it was cut from a cheap placemat. I don't think it looks that bad.

It only takes minutes to set the snipe up. They use a computer program that bids as you in the last 30 seconds of the auction. I've won 3 treasured Anthro items using the service.
Jamie of Thrifty Threads recently used EZSniper to snipe her J Crew Lady Bug Necklace. If you search my posts for EZSniper you can find further info about my wins.
I totally recommend using it for items that spur bidding wars. You don't even have to be present at the auction end. Just sit back and relax and wait for the eBay win notification. No stress at all. Know one will even know you are there until suddenly EZ Sniper steps in and wins as you in the final seconds. Other bidders don't have the time to counter your Snipe. You win!
I just purchased 20 snipes for $1.62 each. They never expire. The only way you can lose is if another sniper is bidding against you and has set a higher Max bid. If you loose you keep your Snipe.
That bag was the last one from Orla's UK site. I hope you find your Jacket. Set multiple EBay Searches to notify you by email. The seller may not know the Anthro name. So search on We Love Vera Jacket and also blazer.
Email me for more info.

And I think the brooch is just divine in this outfit. It really brings out the garden theme of the jacket, and has all the right colors. You are so gifted in accessorizing! And those light blue shoes -- so cute! Do you know how hard it is to find light blue leather shoes? Very!

Oh Wow Jamie. Send some of your Will Power this way. Because I wonder if a day will ever come when I can concede to having all the Cardigans I need. My respect for you has taken on a whole new level.
For me, such resistance is futile. Ha-ha!
