Clear Bangle - Commemorative Anthro Gift from the Maryland Accessory Store - Dec 2010
I love my Anthro Gift.  It commemorates the opening of the Maryland Accessory store.  Word is a second store is expected to open in Rhode Island Spring 2011. What do all the words on the Bracelet mean?  It's like a Thesaurus of words for accessory.  Did you ever see the first Anthro video where the model is trying on shoes as they parade past?  At the end of the video all the shoes are given those names in the credits.

This bracelet is so uniquely Anthropologie!

No Anthro Zone Review: Honor Guard Booties by Messica - $168.

I was in love with these shoes the instant I laid eyes on them. I tried to wait for sale, but Jaynaloos online Anthro review and disappearing sizes hurried this order along. The brand is Messeca. New to me and to Anthro I believe.

SIZE: I wear between an 8 and 8.5. I wanted them to fit on the larger size so I ordered 8.5 to accommodate heavy socks.

FIT: A tad big. But so super comfortable that I don't mind. So I am calling these TTS. My heel does not slip up and down in back when walking.

DETAILS: The military like hardware is so unique that I had to add these to my shoe collection. Will look great with pants and skirts. All those straps open with snaps. Which seems like too many snaps to go wrong when the shoe itself slips on and there is no way to adjust the straps anyway.

PROBLEM: After wearing these awesome, comfortable shoes for a few hours, one of the straps pops open while I'm walking. Naturally I had decided these were comfortable and I was keeping them, so I had already broke them in outside. Once it came open it would not stay snapped shut. That's when I take a closer look to find the base snap is stuck to the top snap and had completely come off the shoe. So I pressed it back in with jewelry pliers and it seems to be secure.

LEATHER: Love the color. Looks a little darker than the online image. There were a few scuff marks on mine right out of the box. The scuffs don't want to buff out. The edge of the shoe is painted like white-wash.  Problem is the paint stops before the heel on both sides, both shoes. Kind of strange. You can see this in my photo below and the online product image. The 3.75 inch heel is the maximum I am able to negotiate without toppling face first.

NOTE: Despite the snap and paint issues, these are keepers just for their unique design. Recommended 5 stars. Just be aware that the snaps might pose a future problem as snaps often do. Watch that you don't scuff them. Use leather protector regularly.

I LOVE those shoes. Seriously.. color, hardware, love. it. all.
I'm jealous you got your bangle! I keep checking the mailbox & no luck for me. I guess this morning's sale is Anthro's personal apology to me.. I'll take it.

Gosh, seems like all you american lovelies received the Anthro bangle! I am VERY jealous Laura :-)
Love your styling of the Perthshire dress. You look so put together with the grey tights and belt and the red scarf.
I am absolutely loving booties right now (even though it's summer here). I love your pair!

Thank you for reviewing these booties! I've had them on my wishlist forever but I haven't seen any reviews yet. Tracy Reese makes the best shoes. I'll be watching these on sale days. And I really like the way you mirrored the military-button detail from the shoe with your jacket,

Kelly, Thanks for giving my Red Scarf some love.

Mandy, I now have 3 dresses with this cut. The slightly full skirt gives me hips, and defines my waist.

Lynzy, During the Free Ship promo Anthro Online has had a sale every Tuesday. 25% off promo is new to me. I think Anthro is clearing the sale section for a Big Sale. Mission Accomplished.

Elizabeth, I figure it might take a week plus to ship all those bits of frippery. Two of my friends have not yet received one either. Have a little faith and patience.

theanthropologieconnoiseur, You deserve the credit for your awesome suggestions. Thanks for the outfit love.

Elizabeth, Mine are very comfortable even at 3.75'. In fact the spike heeled version with platform is 3.5". But the risk of a face plant or ankle injury is skyhigh. And the detailing isn't there. Like the rugged stitched sole, and the colors. The spike heel is hideous and the reviews were bad. Funny, I searched the booties for a better price, but never saw this version. Anthro got these late. They are out of stock everywhere.

Jen, I am guessing the bracelet was shipped to US Anthro customers since the flagship Accessories Store was opened in the US. Did I give you Perthshire Outfit ideas for Fall/Winter in OZ?

Mich, Your welcome for the review. All the Anthro online review are excellent. It was the stellar Military details that sold me.

Lisa, I'm self banned from buying shoes, unless they satisfy a color need in my closet. These not only did that but are versatile and unique.

Hi Laura! Sorry a bit behind on commenting :) Those booties are adorable. I have seen similar detailing on a few around here, but they all have really high heels, yours look much more wearable. Very neat that you got one of those bracelets too. Even if you just use it as decoration most of the time, it is very unique looking, and full of whimsy.
